H2H Challenge

This challenge is for anyone who stamps with Close to My Heart stamps and cardstock. The challenge changes every week. This week the challenge is a color challenge using Gypsy, Creme' Brulee and black.
The CTMH items used for this card are:White Daisy CS, Black CS, Creme Brulee Ribbon Collection, Black Mini Medley Collection, Just Blooms, Thank You Stamp set & Token Alphabet Stamp set.

Journaling...

Journaling is such an important part of our scrapbooks. On this page I have used a combination of journaling styles that include handwriting, printed information from a travel brochure and a title created with 2 stamp sets, the Token Alphabet and the Post Card Travel Series. When you stamp large letters and punch them out it's really quick and easy to create a great looking title for your page.

Papercrafting - just my thoughts.....

Did you like paper dolls and puzzles when you were a kid? I know I did and I think that may be why I love paper crafts so much. Some creations surprise us and some don't turn out at all like we thought they would. But it's only paper so the cost and time usually aren't much.
I used to stand in a card shop for the longest time trying to choose cards for friends and family, now I make my own! and it is so easy! and fun!
I have been making scrapbooks since I was a kid traveling every summer on vacation with my family. I loved saving bits of this and that and taking pictures with the anticipation of building my scrapbook when we got home. I still have a couple of those childhood scrapbooks and they still bring pleasure to look at now.
My favorite scrapbooks are still my travel logs with the story and pictures of vacations my husband and I take together. Sometimes it's a 10 day trip that makes a whole album and sometimes its just a couple days away someplace we both enjoy. The photo above is actually a Studio J layout I created digitally! So if you prefer a digital experience with no software to purchase give Studio J a try at pssmitty.myctmh.com.
Our scrapbooks tell who we are, what we love, what is important to us.
When we make a handmade card for someone it says you are special to me.
So take time to make a card or start a scrapbook. It will bring enjoyment to you and those you love.

Hello!

Well it is 2011 and I have decided it's time to join the blogging world. Some of you may wonder about my online name, pssmitty, so here's the story. When my husband and I got our first computer many years ago and set up our first email account his nickname Smitty was already taken as an email address so we added my initials to the front of smitty and pssmitty came to be!
Since I still use that email account for my Close To My Heart Scrapbooking and Stamping business I have decided to make it easy for all of us and stick with the pssmitty name! So there you have it.
Welcome to my blog, I hope you visit often and enjoy your time here.
